Situated in the former Lansdowne Church, this is a unique and lovely venue featuring stained glass windows, original church features, outdoor fire pits, and several indoor event spaces. If you’re looking for a venue that can cater to intimate and truly special events Secession is the ideal setting.
THE PLAYHOUSE
Featuring original vaulted ceiling, fairy light canopy, in-house PA and a floor to ceiling stained glass window. The Playhouse has a capacity of 60 people and is ideal for larger parties, ceilidhs, conferences and formal or informal dining. The Playhouse is suited to live music or DJs, or alternatively you can provide a playlist. We have a selection of menu options to choose from or we can create bespoke packages catered entirely to your taste. To hire The Playhouse, we charge £350.
THE NORTH WOODSIDE BAR
Our North Woodside bar is an enchanting space with period features, stained glass windows and an ornate stone porch leading out to our private beer garden, overlooking the River Kelvin. This is a truly unique space to host exclusive intimate dinners or gather for informal parties. Additionally, we can host acoustic nights and DJs or you can simply provide a playlist. We have a range of catering options and will work with you to create the perfect menu for your event. Capacity for our North Woodside bar is 30 for a sit-down meal and up to 60 standing with casual seating. To hire the North Woodside bar we charge £200.
THE GREAT WESTERN ROAD BAR
Secession is a lovely, cosy space with an open fire and our distinctive 19th century apothecary bar. This is an ideal location for larger informal gatherings and parties, with an additional smaller break-out space in the Gold Room and access to the front terrace. With a capacity of 100 standing with casual seating, we can host acoustic musicians and DJs or you can simply provide a playlist and enjoy access to the sound system.
This is the ideal setting to enjoy laid back informal dining and we have a selection of delicious sharing platters and buffet options that will be the perfect accompaniment to your special event. To hire Secession, we charge £200.
THE GOLD ROOM
Our Gold Room in the snug of the bar is ideal for groups of friends of up to 25 people to gather for social drinks and a bite to eat.
